On behalf of the Organizing Committee of EScoP Budapest 2016,
The EScoP Breast course this year will be held in Budapest, 2-4 June 2016.
The course will cover all aspects of breast pathology. Special emphasis
will be given to the role and tasks of the pathologist in the
multidisciplinary environment of screening centres. Pre- and postoperative
diagnostics and differential diagnostic issues of breast lesions will be
discussed. The importance and quality issues of prognostic and predictive
factors will also be presented.
The speakers â as usual – are internationally acknowledged specialist
breast pathologists: Prof. Vincenzo Eusebi, director of the course, Prof.
Tibor Tot, Prof. Anna Sapino, Prof. Maria-Pia Foschini, and the local
organizers, Prof. GĂĄbor Cserni and Prof. Janina Kulka. Prof. Ricardo
Masetti, breast surgeon is also among the speakers and it is an honour for
us to have him in the Faculty.
The case presenters will use digital slides and each participant will have
the opportunity to use digital equipment for slide viewing and manipulation.
Target audience: primarily pathology trainees and young pathologists, but
experienced general surgical pathologists who would like to brush-up their
knowledge about breast pathology are also welcome. Lectures of the course
are open for trainee surgeons interested in breast surgery.
The venue is the new building of the Semmelweis University, providing a
convenient and well equipped lecture hall and spacious areas for the
breaks, where coffee and lunch will be served.
During the evenings, appealing social programs are planned: the first
evening in the lively inner city of Budapest and the second evening in a
hunting house in the Buda hills.
