Primili smo tužnu vijest da nas je napustio prof. Antonio Cardesa, jedan od utemeljitelja suvremene Patologije glave i vrata te veliki učitelj od kojeg smo i mi imali prilike učiti.
Uvijek je bio ljubazan i spreman saslušati, a posjedovao je i fini smisao za humor.

The European Society of Pathology mourns with great sadness the passing of Professor Antonio Cardesa, former President of the Society and an exceptional leader in pathology. A world-renowned head and neck pathologist, he was also a generous mentor and valued colleague whose wisdom and kindness touched many within the ESP community.
The Society extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and to all who had the privilege of working with him.
